Job Purpose
The AEF (Auto & Equipment Finance) Business Operations Analyst plays a key role in developing the business through investigation, quantitative analysis and reporting to support the understanding and management of the AEF portfolio. The individual sources data from the corporate systems (i.e. Aspire, CDP, LOS, and Salesforce) to develop and maintain business models and reporting suites for both individuals and the AEF team as a whole. The individual manages the informational requirements by collaborating with AEF management to develop and manage the functional reporting needs, lead business case development and managing of projects. Through this insight, the individual will enhance the overall knowledge capacity in order to develop internal efficiencies and the attainment of performance objectives aligned with the AEF corporate strategic direction
Accountabilities
Application Development & Integration Data Analysis
- Perform analysis of AEF system usage and recommend efficiencies that can be adopted by various user groups
- Develop ad hoc reports and business models either based on proactive needs identification or as requested by Management.
- Ensure accuracy of data and analysis through the verification of extracted information to source systems and assumptions.
- Responsible for the conversion of data into meaningful information/knowledge though business modeling and preparing related reports to support the decision making process within the
various AEF functional areas. - Provide dashboard reporting for AEF using data available in AEF systems and data warehouse
Industry Awareness
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager, Operations Analysis to ensure data is available to assess impacts on relevant business areas such as leasing trends.
Leadership
- Acts as a point of reference/specialization providing support and guidance to Sales Leaders and internal partner groups as pertaining to key functional programs.
- Actively participate in an environment that encourages new concepts and challenges convention.
- Develop strong relationships with business partners. Work cooperatively with stakeholders to ensure all business informational requirements are clearly articulated and maintained
Operations
- Responsible to ensure AEF internal teams are utilizing the systems appropriately and efficiencies are being maximized
- Measurement and Reporting: Working closely with internal partners and line leaders to ensure implemented process are fully understood and appropriately utilized and that processes for reporting are simple and fully transparent.
- Participate in a team dedicated to ensure the tactical and strategic requirements for AEF initiatives are aligned with the strategic direction of the company and the supporting departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with management in the design of processes addressing policies, directives, guidelines, standards and procedures by ensuring data availability across all AEF systems to adequately monitor & report on return from risk objectives
- Deploy new operational informational applications or expanded data retreaval functionality from existing AEF systems and data warehouse.
Project Management
- Act as liason and key point of contact between AEF and its system providers
- Act as a Project Manager on various projects/initiatives throughout AEF
- Participate in and/or provide guidance and expertise to working groups, committees and project teams with respect to the establishment of section and project objectives, business case preparation and gap and cost/benefit analysis.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the preparation of project documents such as business requirements, design documents & project meeting minutes.
- Utilize effective project management practices to plan and coordinate activities and track all deliverables
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 4 – 6 Years of Job-Related Experience. A minimum of 4 years' experience as an Analyst &/or related experience. Proven success in business case development and developing reporting from core technology systems. Experience in financial services operations is required. Experience in project management and data analytics is required including the use of data analytic tools such as Tableau and sound understanding of analytic principles. Experience managing effective business relationships with various customers and other stakeholders preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree or a diploma requiring 3 - 4 years of full-time study
Minimum Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Proficient in SQL.
- Proficient in Python and Pandas Library desirable.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Sound knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining principles
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce is desirable
Minimum Non-Technical Skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
