CRW Data and Reporting Analyst
Location: British Columbia (CA-BC), Surrey
Job Type: Full Time 6 months plus.
What’s the job?
The Commercial, Retail and Wealth (CRW) Data Analyst is responsible for the timely preparation of regular and ad hoc reporting to support strategy, initiatives and investigations. The Analyst uses data to maintain or develop reports for stakeholders. These reports and analysis may be distributed widely to front-line staff and management, internal stakeholders or external parties. This individual works collaboratively within the Operating Office, the Commercial, Retail and Wealth management and other stakeholders to develop and validate reporting, provide insights and measure risk and/or performance.
What you’ll get to do:

Prepares data and analytics requests from internal and external sources. Applies standardized definitions and calculations for data usage

Prepares regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually) reporting as assigned.

Supports the 1B line of defence function by providing analysis and reporting of data to identify risks related to the Commercial, Retail and Wealth Group, including design, implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls.

Analyzes and interprets data, identifies trends and issues and summarizes business impacts.

Assists with ongoing validation of reported results. Works closely with internal partners and management to ensure implemented processes and controls are fully understood and appropriately utilized (DASH, SharePoint) and that processes for reporting are simple and fully transparent.

Investigate data anomalies and provide updates to key stakeholders when applicable.

Assists the Commercial, Retail and Wealth management with data and analytics to be included in presentations to the key stakeholders.

Keeps abreast of changes to policies, procedures, processes, or trends in credit and regulatory issues that may have an impact on reporting and data requests.

Works cooperatively, develops strong relationships with Commercial, Retail and Wealth management, business partners and stakeholders.

Prepares industry research and analysis in support of decision-making on business cases developed as part of assigned project work.

Maintains governance and documentation standards for all assigned regular reporting.
Who are we looking for?

High School and a Diploma
-
Post-secondary education in math, science, statistics, economics or similar is an asset.

4 - 6 years experience within wealth management, commercial, retail banking and/ or financial institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and SharePoint

Proficient knowledge of the process to identify and assess risk

Proficient of the relationship between risk and controls

Proficient knowledge of risk and credit risk terminology and risk products

High proficiency in report writing and presentation skills

Working knowledge of Temenos T24
