Job Purpose
As a Facilities Technician, you will support the maintenance and repair of our facilities, assist with renovations, and help with office moves and logistics. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in various trades like electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more, with guidance from experienced team members.
Accountabilities
- Handle basic maintenance tasks like fixing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, and addressing minor plumbing issues.
- Assist with small to medium-sized renovation projects, working with senior team members and contractors.
- Help manage office relocations, ensuring minimal disruption to staff.
- Perform routine maintenance such as building repairs, painting, and carpentry to keep facilities in good condition.
- Help track supplies and assist with ordering materials needed for repairs.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, projects, and inventory.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Address inquiries from staff and tenants, resolving maintenance issues quickly.
- Assist with regular inspections and upkeep to prevent future issues.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience or interest in facilities maintenance or related fields (e.g., internships or coursework).
- Willingness to learn and grow in facilities management.
- Good communication skills and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of trades like electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, or interest in learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
- Valid Driver's License (required).
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for emergency support (training provided).
