Job Purpose
The Manager, Network Services manages a team of Network Analysts and Engineers. The team researches, designs, recommends, and implements the core and edge production network infrastructure, working across the enterprise, to the internet and directly with business partners. You will be responsible for balancing performance, budget, scalability, resilience, security, and business timelines to ensure the network continues to run to meet critical business needs. The Manager, Network Services collaborates with other IT teams to execute the divisional strategy and ensures that the team delivers on projects and maintains business-as-usual operations.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate effective incident, major incident, and problem resolution to provide reliable network services and provide service improvement recommendations.
- Lead network capacity and operational planning, including collaborating with IT, InfoSec, Enterprise Architecture and EPMO management.
- Analyze financial aspects of network hardware, software, and vendor services, including cost-effective purchasing and budget oversight to achieve optimal service partnerships that meet organizational network requirements.
- Lead the development and implementation of processes and procedures which support the provisioning and daily operation of network services.
- Responsible for providing direction and development to Senior Network Engineers and Analysts, and acts as a point of escalation for decision making regarding initiatives relying on network services.
- Oversee the effective governance and documentation of network architecture and topology for troubleshooting during network outages.
- Analyze all technical infrastructure products and services in the context of Technology Life Cycle Management principles, including upgrading and retiring existing services and introducing new technologies as appropriate and deliver recommendations to senior leadership for effective management of the Network technology as it relates to supporting the Coast Capital Savings (CCS) business requirements.
- Negotiates with and oversees all third parties (consultants, service providers, equipment vendors) to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are adhered to on a going basis.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. An equivalent combination of education and related Information Technology field experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 8 plus years of job-related experience.
- Management and leadership experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.
- Experience with network integrations during merger scenarios
- Expert level of communication skills, including concise, clear oral and written communications.
- Demonstrated experience as an Enterprise technical project lead. With an ability for budgeting, capacity planning and presentation skills.
- Advanced aptitude and attitude for learning new technologies and/or applications.
- Vendor and relationship management ability, specifically working with third-party providers, vendors, and internal clients.
