What’s the job?
Coast Capital Savings (CCS) is looking for a Process Engineer Transformation Office responsible for transforming operational processes. You will ensure that all new/changed systems and procedures are simple, easy to learn and meet all regulatory requirements and are implemented with end-to-end perspective. Process improvement must consider the Coast strategy, which always puts the member at the center of everything we do.
Process Engineer will actively contribute as part of a Lean team, leading and/or working on designing new process for Coast. This role will train, mentor staff in process engineering Lean methodologies, will work with stakeholders at all levels in the organization in the development, execution, and embedding of Lean methodologies.
What you’ll get to do:
- Develop and execute communication and training plans for new processes and make recommendation for process/procedure changes in collaboration with other business units. Work with stakeholders and functional units to implement new and revised processes.
- Execute and deliver to consistently improve business efficiency, reduce costs and generate revenue.
- Design, develop and implement an enterprise wide corporate Lean Process framework, including creation, revision and repeal of process. Conduct major feasibility studies, prepare business cases and ensure the necessary cost/benefit analysis are completed, signed off by required stakeholders as per governance guidelines.
- Develop appropriate oversight and communication processes, as well as implement format, methodology standardization and coordination. Collaborate with management to ensure methodology guidelines and standards mitigate risk.
- Oversee the design of more efficient (Lean) process, provide guidance on projects, and develop a thorough understanding of the business. Provide estimates of work effort, duration and resource allocation for projects and communicate objectives, quality control plan and operational needs of end users while managing member expectations.
- Work on medium to complex long term (6-12 months), or short-term (2-4 months) business project(s) with a target baseline improvement. Provide guidance to the business by identifying, planning and implementing process engineering projects through activities such as needs assessment, front end analysis and solution design.
- Provide management status updates on process improvement, feedback and appropriate reporting on selected re-designs through a project tracking system. Provide tools and support to create, revise and repeal process as appropriate, with proper approval in place.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Data Science or a comparable degree.
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience specifically in a Lean/Process Engineering role.
- Lean certificate or Six Sigma Black belt is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products: Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint.
- Advanced knowledge of database structure, SQL, Visio, mini tab and software related to collection of data and workflow analysis.
- Knowledge of process and procedure evaluation processes.
- Understanding of how the business works; regulatory guidelines and able to execute its mandate in the context of the business, systems and processes of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of Project methodology and must remain current with Lean best business and practice methodology.
