What’s the job?
The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator contributes to the effective management of regulatory compliance risk by utilizing governance, risk & compliance (GRC) software and custom-designed solutions to track regulatory requirements, related controls and control gaps; oversee monitoring of regulatory developments, and centralize and coordinate regulator communication and information requests. They will leverage their data analysis and reporting skills to maintain an effective regulatory compliance library and produce crucial risk management metrics for the Chief Compliance Officer, senior management and the board of directors.
What you’ll get to do:
- Maintain and administer an enterprise library of legislative and regulatory requirements and identified control issues. Oversees system access for library users and collaborates with GRC vendors as required.
- Collaborate with business units and second line of defence groups to catalogue and link key controls to regulatory requirements and significant activities, resulting in a thorough and accurate regulatory compliance inventory.
- Maintain and enhance an enterprise repository of regulatory developments, assist in the development of a regulatory change management process and provides training as required, in order to provide a clear picture of the changing regulatory environment.
- Assist in developing and implementing metrics to measure regulatory compliance risks from identified issues and regulatory developments.
- Integrate regulatory compliance risk metrics into Chief Compliance Officer reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Track and coordinate responses to information requests and other correspondence with regulatory bodies.
Who are we looking for?
- High School Diploma plus completion of a Diploma Program
- A minimum of 4years of experience in data analytics and/or reporting of senior-level management information is required.
- Experience in the Canadian financial services industry is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Proficient with SharePoint capabilities and features
- Proficient data visualization skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficient use of analytical tools and software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong reporting and analytical skills
- Highly organized
- Ability to collaborate
