Tolerance. Appetite. Mitigation. Policy. On hearing these words does your mind jump to Risk? If so, the Risk and Policy Governance Analyst might be for you. By centralizing risk assessment data and supporting control development during contracting, as well as monitoring risks post-contract and for the life of the supplier relationship you will be supporting the 3rd party risk for IT suppliers within Coast Capital’s IT Vendor Management Office (VMO). By collaborating with cross functional stakeholders and implementing data collection strategies you will be responsible for adhering to process documentation standards and reviewing and hosting of supplier joint operating procedures. You will support sustainable business results and enable management to make decisions for policy and guideline changes by ensuring thorough risk analysis is performed.

 

What you’ll get to do:

  • Develop, socialize, implement and continually improved on contract governance for IT suppliers.
  • Support new and existing policies as they relate to Vendor Management and Outsourcing to ensure compliance
  • Support the creation of guidelines for defining, managing and reporting vendor contract obligations. While advising business owners on contract obligation status and facilitating exchange of information with supplier for the business.
  • Understand potential impact of market conditions, economic trends and regulatory environment on credit loan portfolio and recommend new and revised credit policy, underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
  • Monitor and enhance risk appetite and metrics for the organization.
  • Manage the evaluation of supplier through the development, production and analysis of appropriate portfolio monitoring tools and reports.
  • Investigate data anomalies and provide updates to key stakeholders when applicable. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Facilitate materiality, vendor risk and privacy impact assessments

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 4 – 6 Years of Job-Related Experience with at least 3 years in Audit, Risk Management, Information Security, or Privacy.
  • Must have completed an undergraduate degree or diploma requiring 3-4 years of study with a degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing audits is a plus.
  • Certification or designation in risk management or accounting is an asset.
