Senior Product Manager, Savings & Deposit Pricing

What's the opportunity?
As the Senior Manager, Savings & Deposits Pricing, you are an integral part of the demand deposits, payments and credit cards team. You will lead the organization's small business and retail deposit growth, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives for the Portfolio are executed/delivered in support of Coast's business strategies and objectives. You are also responsible for ensuring all activities follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

You will be accountable for managing the entire retail / small business savings deposits (i.e. non-term) P&L, end-to-end member experience/journey and regulatory compliance, including acquisition across all channels and within target segments, account/volume growth plans, pricing, new product development, forecasting, measurement and gap planning. Also, you must effectively partner with delivery channels to understand clients' needs and capture experience challenges., building and maintaining the HISA promotional rate program, including pricing structure, offer strategy, propensity model/take-up analysis, and post-campaign reporting/analytics. In supporting Coast Capital's strong risk culture, you will regularly communicate with business/risk partners to formulate appropriate test & learn strategies and collaborate with campaign partners to optimize campaign modelling, delivery and measurement.

 

What you'll get to do:

  • Developing growth targets in alignment with the broader organizational growth targets/OKRs, contributing to business development with a heightened focus on core deposits and other revenue metrics, including but not limited to Net Interest Income (NII) and Non-Interest Revenue (NIR)
  • Build-out of promotional interest rate program, deploying both always-on and test & learn strategies via the development of associated propensity models, offer constructs and operationalization of fulfillment structures, in partnership with cross-functional delivery teams incl., including marketing, analytics, technology and distribution 
  • Identifying and monitoring business trends, competitive intelligence, market best practices, regulatory restrictions, and customer feedback to ensure strategies meet customer needs
  • Working closely with the local sales teams to ensure established KPIs for the savings portfolio is on track, escalating and mediating issues to address challenges as required.
  • Collaborating with Treasury partners and the field in analyzing, reviewing and adjusting products and rates and the Schedule of Rates and Fees as necessary.
  • Identifying and evaluating market and segment-specific opportunities and potential new pricing strategies, including new products/product enhancements, using standard product development methodologies
  • Improving employee and client experience across product journeys via process simplification and system enhancements
  • Seamlessly execute campaigns, with leadership-level reporting around campaign performance and enhancement opportunities.
  • Reviewing/analyzing the performance of existing products to ensure performance is meeting expectations, as well as assessing product demand/supply and other factors
  • Supporting the design and development of key financial reports for the savings products portfolio, including product, segment and regional profitability, performance, and sales results

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related areas. Post-graduate degree in relevant field a plus
  • 7 - 9 years of professional experience in deposits, deposit campaign management, product pricing, and small business; within financial services
  • Deposits, small business, propensity modelling and campaign development experience
  • Strong understanding of deposits P&L 
  • Advanced ability to model data, specifically with P&L, pricing and propensity metrics 
  • Very strong analytical capabilities, including insight development and executive-level performance reporting
  • Experience working with data & analytics teams, specifically in consumer behaviour models (propensity, performance lift etc.) 
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and integrate information from multiple sources to solve complex issues
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Understands balancing of competing levers (margin vs. volume) and business risk and exhibits sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Demonstrated partnering and leveraging abilities
