What’s the job?

The Senior Treasury Manager, Capital Management & Funds Transfer Pricing is responsible for the strategic and on-going day-to-day operations within the Treasury Department related to Capital Management and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP). The position involves contact with the Coast Capital Savings Executive group, product specialists and the line of business in order to build relationships and understand needs to employ effective solutions. This position will educate and influence at all levels to ensure their internal clients understand how FTP and Capital decisions impact their business and market activities and rationale behind decisions.


What you’ll get to do:

  • Responsible for the articulation of the Funds Transfer Pricing methodology with the lines of business to ensure appropriate understanding and engagement in the decision process.
  • Reviews existing reporting and information available to determine future development changes to FTP, profitability measurements and Risk Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC).
  • Responsible for adherence to Coast Capital Saving's Capital Management and Development of Funds Transfer Pricing policies.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to both Capital and FTP.
  • Supports the VP Treasury in providing effective coaching and mentoring to create a strong succession plan within the Treasury team.
  • Works with the Finance Business Partners to develop relationships and understand the business needs of the lines on business and to educate and ensure member profitability is well understood and tools are appropriately implemented.
  • Develops and maintains working relationships outside of Treasury including Retail, Small Business and Commercial partners and the wider Finance team to ensure an understanding of the business’ competitive position and the economic environment are considered when implementing change and making decisions.
  • Responsible for collaborating with and developing business partnerships with the lines of business to ensure that FTP and Capital decisions serve the enterprise appropriately and support meeting business objectives.
  • Acts as a change agent to enable the needed behavioural and cultural changes necessary to ensure any recommended changes have a meaningful and impactful impact on the organization.
  • Responsible for encouraging cross-training and becoming familiar with the other operations in the Treasury area.
  • Oversees monthly and daily FTP process and execution and control.
  • Responsible for monitoring and setting transfer pricing rates for all lending, deposit and off-balance sheet positions for CCS.
  • Responsible for the ICAAP and related Capital management assessments and analysis.



Who are we looking for?

  • 7+ years of experience with a strong technical foundation in finance and treasury
  • Must be familiar with financial institution/ treasury operations and must have been involved in a management level capacity of a treasury or finance function.
  • Bachelor's Degree or a diploma requiring 3 - 4 years of full-time study.
  • Strong knowledge of derivative products.
  • Knowledge of interest rate risk management methods.
  • Knowledge of finance, economics, investment markets, investment theory, and trading strategies.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Funds Transfer Pricing and related methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Capital Management and related methodologies.
